Pommes Frites...from Festival to Farm to Table!

WOW! The past few months have been a whirlwind. Let's catch up!

From the Festival...:

I must thank EVERYONE who came out to support, purchased a t-shirt, sent an encouraging note, double tapped my photos on Instagram, or shared our Facebook post to your networks! I was very fortunate to be interviewed by the Chicago Defender and was quoted in their recap of the Festival's 30th Anniversary. Please check out the article HERE .

An extra special shout out to my set-up crew and onsite booth staff; my brothers Dorian and Evan; my cousins Morgan and Liz; my colleague Carole-Anne; my Angel Investor Colette; my culinary mentor Maya-Camille; my parents for the extra fryer; my father-in-law for the power tools; Father Tom for the furniture; and my wife Nubia (the Her) for her unwavering support. I'm riding the wave of momentum on to the NEXT big thing!

To the Farm...:

Last weekend I was invited to participate in Growing Home's first ever Fall Harvest Fest, supporting their leading urban farming and farm based training program for people with employment barriers. Guided by the principle, "Everyone deserves to have a good job, and everyone deserves to eat well," they've established an innovative Urban Farm Facility on Chicago's Southside. There were fresh produce vendors, face painting, farm tours and good vibes galore as we spent the afternoon spreading positivity throughout the Englewood community in the form of fresh cut Pommes Frites! Thank you to the organization's Executive Director (and fellow HBCU Alum) Danielle Perry for the invitation. It was an honor to support a fellow Chicagoan who has returned home to positively impact the Southside's Englewood neighborhood. #BlessUp

To the Table...:

I'm excited to partner with my fellow FAMU Rattler, Jessica Greer and her company, Boxed Expressions; providing monthly plant-based pop-up cooking demonstrations and curated culinary shopping events. These culinary pop-up experiences will feature plant-based cooking demonstrations and exclusive, chef-selected, artisan crafted products for you to discover. Check out pictures from the October event as well as find out more information for the November dates HERE.

Cheers to a productive 4th quarter! What are you all cooking up for the next decade? Please share!
