Hi! My name Brian Davis, and I am a full-time Research and Development Chef in Chicago.

I started What I Make for Her in 2016 as a way to share recaps of meals I was making at home for my now wife, then girlfriend, Nubia. This burgeoning cooking hobby, quickly became a passion and vocation, that I was fortunate to be able to pursue as a career.


In 2018 I earned a culinary arts diploma from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, NY where I was awarded Top Toque, the highest academic distinction in the class. 

As a career changer and former middle school teacher, I've always embraced education and in 2019 began teaching cooking classes to students of all ages, first through the iCook After School platform, then via Sur La Table, and now virtually. 

In addition to cooking classes, I also write and develop recipes, style food photography, execute pop ups, and offer private chef services.
